Nest

From a series, 'Textures of life and death', exploring the visual textures of living and dead matter in nature, art and culture.
In 'nest', a foetal bird skeleton lies curled in a womb-like nest of human hair, its strands forming a tangled whirlpool. 'Nest' represents birth, death and, in its apparently endless loop, the unfathomably infinite cycle that intertwines the two.
